Redouble efforts to improve education – Yobe govt tasks school principals, teachers
Dr Sani Idriss, Yobe State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, has tasked public school principals and teaching staff to redouble their efforts at ensuring the improvement of education in the state.
The commissioner gave the charge when he paid an assessment visit to Government Day Secondary School, Buni Yani, today.
He said secondary school authorities across the state must rededicate themselves to actualizing Governor Mai Mala Buni’s emergency on education meant to uplift the standard of basic and secondary education.
Idriss, who went round classrooms, water facility, kitchen to see for himself and ensure the school authorities are doing the needful, commended the efforts of the management of GDSS Buni Yadi for maintaining the facilities and therefore urged them to sustain the tempo.
In his efforts to encourage students to perform well in their studies toward actualizing Gov. Buni’s dream, he supported the Vice-Principal Academic as well as some students with gifts for their resilience, hard work and excellent academic performances.
Recall that, the Yobe State Government recently organized a fundraiser in Abuja where billions of naira were realized for investment into the education sector.
